Heavy Metal Remediation in Sludge Compost: Recent Progress

چکیده

The safe and efficient disposal utilization of sludge are major issues to be solved in solid waste treatment environmental protection due the complex characteristics low rate innocuous treatments. Composting is a process decomposing organic matter transformed low-molecular acids into high-molecular humus substances under action microorganisms. Although land-use after composting has become an important direction for treatment, heavy metal pollution still bottleneck problem restricting land use compost. Adding zeolite, hydroxyapatite, other conditioning agents affects concentration or form some metals effectively reduces risk. Lime phosphorus modifiers change speciation samples, playing role decreasing biological availability mobility. In this study, effects on concentrations forms reviewed. This review will provide theoretical basis treat lay foundation recycling sludge.
